Abstract: Interpreting histopathology of the female rodent reproductive tract can be challenging in toxicity studies. However, diagnosis can be relatively uncomplicated with an understanding of the relationship between form and function. We describe this relationship for the rodent uterus and vagina and discuss some strategies to simplify diagnosis.
