HESI Presentations at the 2007 Eurotox Meeting
The 44th Congress of the European Societies of Toxicology (Eurotox 2007), was held in Amsterdam October 7-10, 2007.
HESI and ILSI Europe were present at exhibition booth number 32 in the Ruby lounge on the first floor of the Congress Centre. A selection of publications were made available as well as general information about the ILSI branches and their programs.
Several HESI projects were presented at the Eurotox Meeting:
- October 8, 2007: Presentation. "A Tiered Approach for Life Stages Testing for Agricultural Chemical Safety Assessment." Presentation by James Lamb (The Weinberg Group) and Lorraine Irvine (toXcel International Ltd.) on behalf of the HESI Agricultural Chemical Safety Assessment Technical Committee.
- October 8-9, 2007: Poster. "Development of a Framework for Determining the Appropriateness of a Biomarker of Exposure." Presentation by Peter Boogaard (Shell International B.V.), Michael Zelenka (ExxonMobil Biomedical Sciences), Dana Barr (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), Michael Bird (ExxonMobil Biomedical Sciences), and Nancy Doerrer (HESI).
- October 9, 2007: Presentation. "Impact of Positive Results from In vitro Genotoxicity Assays." Presentation by Veronique Thybaud (sanofi-aventis) and Michael Holsapple (HESI).
- October 10, 2007: Presentation. "Toxicogenomics: An Overview of Ongoing Projects by the HESI Committee on Genomics in Risk Assessment." Presentation by Jon Lyon (GlaxoSmithKline).
