The purpose of this Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology (DART) Technical Committee workshop was to provide a comprehensive and critical evaluation of developmental toxicity testing in the face of technological advances and improved mechanistic information. Areas of focus included current animal models and study designs, interpretation and impact of findings on human safety assessment, and application of new technologies and testing strategies.
