The Cardiac Safety Steering Team is proud to present the first webinar series featuring Early Career Seminar Series Awardees.  This competitive award is given to postdoctoral or early career scientists who have compelling research related to cardiovascular safety and risk assessment.

Three awardees were selected for this inaugural Seminar Series:

  • Dr. Julia Hotek, Merck
  • Dr. Arvin Soepriatna, Brown University
  • Dr. Shagun Krishna, NTP-NIEHS

Please join us for our first webinar on February 11 at 10:00 am ET where Dr. Hotek will present: Understanding hemodynamic changes: Use of signal processing tools to advance preclinical blood pressure analysis. 

Bio: Dr. Julia Hotek earned her BS in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Spine Pain Research Lab at the University of Pennsylvania.  She is currently an Associate Principal Scientist at Merck. Dr. Hotek has experience with computational tools and in vivo models and is currently working to gain a better understanding of hemodynamic effects through signal processing algorithm development.

Future dates for Drs. Soepriatna and Krishna will be announced in the coming weeks.
