HESI RESIDENTIAL EXPOSURE FACTORS DATABASE
The objective of the HESI Residential Exposure Factors Database and associated Users Guide is to provide an electronic database with peer-reviewed data sets and interpretative guidance to support probabilistic residential exposure analyses. The database (via Microsoft Access® 2000) houses publicly available, non-chemical specific exposure data. This effort is intended to be complimentary to the US EPA’s Exposure Factors Handbook and the Child-Specific Exposure Factors Handbook (http://cfpub.epa.gov/ncea/) and international programs such as the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, Institute for Health and Consumer Protection, Physical and Chemical Exposure Unit.
The database was conceptualized and reviewed by the HESI Risk Assessment Methodology Committee’s industrial sponsors, academic advisors, and scientists from the U.S. EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs and Office of Research and Development, California Department of Pesticide Regulation, and the Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency. The database was developed by InfoScientific.com.
